Doctor Who Book Tag! (Original)

Hello everyone! Today I am going to be doing a book tag! Now, if you are not sure what a book tag is, it is a series of questions that correspond with a type of book and the doer of the tag (today that is me) has to fill in the blanks and show off what book they thinks fits best. And remember, this is all purely for fun!

Now I am not sure if there is already a Doctor Who book tag out there that everyone has done, but I decided to make one! You don’t need to know the show to do this tag, but if you are a fan of the show, you will just get extra amusement. If you decide to do this tag please give credit to! (Me).

So for this tag I have compiled a list of either events, monsters, characters, or jokes from the show. And for each event, monster, etc, there is a question for a book. Classic book tag.

I am sorry if there already is a popular DW book tag, but this is the first tag I have made so I just decided to go with it. (Also: most of the questions are centered around the new episodes of doctor who (ninth doctor-eleventh doctor) because I have not yet seen the classics.)

1. The Classics

{A classic book that still fits into YA literature}

smith old

The Giver

For this I am going to say The Giver by Lois Lowry. I feel like this story and the utopia turned dystopia was very before its time when it came out, but now I think that it would just fit right into the YA scene.

2. The Ninth Doctor

{A book you feel is very underrated}

Defy by Sara B Larson! This is such an epic start to a wonderful fantasy series with kick butt girls and magic and castles and fighting and…and lots of other cool stuff! I would love to see this book get the attention that it deserves!

3. David Tennant

{A book or series that was hard to say goodbye to when it ended}

ten goodbye

For this have to say The Heroes of Olympus series. (Pictured above is the last book in the series) Aka the last Camp Half-Blood novel. I know that a lot of people might say Harry Potter, and that is an extremely close second, but for me it has to be the Rick Riordan books. Mostly because I started reading Harry Potter after they were all out. But for the Rick Riordan books I was able to go to the last book release. So it was harder for me.

4. Matt Smith

{A book that made you smile}

smith laugh

For this I have to say The Order of The Phoenix by JK Rowling. Not the whole book obviously, because the ending was sad. But there was a scene in that book that made me smile so big! Also, LUNA LOVEGOOD. Hint to what scene it was that made me smile: “Give her hell from us, Peeves.”

5. Rose and Ten

{One of your ships that never sailed}

Luna Longbottom

6. Weeping Angel

{A book that you blinked and it was over}

dont blink

This is what happy looks like

For this I am going to go with This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E Smith. This is one of my favorite books of all time and I love that the ending was so open to your imagination, but even though this was a 400+ page book, I read it in one day. So much happened in that book that I was surprised to find how short it seemed. But I guess time flies when you are reading one of your future favorite books…

7. Daleks

{A book you want to exterminate}

I actually don’t really have an answer for this. I think that all books are important to someone out there and…I don’t want to step on any toes and I don’t really have an answer. 😉

8. Bowties Are Cool!

{A bandwagon you jumped on early}

bowties are cool

love at first sight

For this I am going to go with The Statistical Probability of Love At first Sight by Jennifer E Smith (And her other books, too, of course.) . I didn’t read them when they first came out, true, but I read them before the movies were announced! And because I am fairly new to the bookish world that has never happened to me before!

9. Run you clever boy, and remember…

{A book with an awesome plot twist that you didn’t see coming}

For this I am going with Cinder by Marissa Meyer. The first large plot twist I saw coming from a mile away, or at least 80 pages or so. So I thought that I figured out the big “WOW” moment of the book. And then I read the last couple of pages, and there is a plot twist that had me gasping for air because I DID NOT CALL THE PLOT TWIST BEFORE IT HAPPENED. Just so know, that rarely happens. So…I was shocked.

10. Raxacoricofallapatorius

{A book with hard to pronounce names or titles}

Well, I mispronounce almost every name and place while I’m reading, but the hardest to pronounce award goes to Seraphina by Rachel Hartman. It is a high fantasy world so obviously things are going to be pronounced wrong. That is the only reason I wouldn’t want this book made into a movie is that I know that I pronounced stuff WAY wrong. Hehe.

11. The T.A.R.D.I.S

{A book that took you back in time}

For this I am going to choose Entwined by Heather Dixon. I am not sure if this book takes place in the 1800’s, but there were a lot of similarities. It just really added magic to a historical feeling in the setting.

12. Every Doctor needs a companion!

{tag some friends!}

Peruse Project

and I tag YOU!

Thank you all SO much for reading this tag! I hope this was okay for the first tag that I put together myself. If this looks like any fun to you, feel free to tell me your answers in the comments! You could even do it on your blog/vlog! Just please give credit to me over here Becoming Bookish!

I hope you enjoyed this tag! And I will have a new post up soon!

See ya!

    Oooh this is a really cool tag. I actually haven’t seen many Doctor Who book tags circling around the blog-o-sphere so I’m not sure if it’s already been done, but that should not take away from the fact that you created this tag and had a blast with it 😀 I thought it was really creative. Love all the doctor who gifs!
